Sink Again Rejects 2010 Bid for Florida Senate Seat

Florida’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Alex Sink (D) said Friday she will not seek the state’s open Senate seat, opting instead to seek reelection as the state’s top fiscal officer.

“I believe my skills and abilities are of greatest use here in Florida, where I am honored to serve as Chief Financial Officer,” Sink said in a statement. “And I will run for re-election as Chief Financial Officer to continue being a fiscal watchdog on behalf of the people of Florida.
