Toomey’s Club calls Specter and other centrists ‘Comrades of the Month’
A month after awarding a leading Democrat the ignominious distinction of being January’s “Comrade of the Month,” the conservative Club for Growth awarded three Republican Senators who supported the stimulus package the title for February.
Sens. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine), Susan Collins (R-Maine), and Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) received the Club’s “Comrade of the Month” award after 86 percent of the organization’s members voted for them this past month.
