Since Bachmann’s ‘Anti-American’ Interview, Opponent Has Raised $650K

Rep. Michele Bachmann’s (R-Minn.) suggestion that Barack Obama has “anti-American” views has fired up backers of her opponent.

Since she said was concerned that Obama and ‘leftist” Democrats were “anti-American” on “Hardball” last week, Democrat Elwyn Tinklenberg has raised $650,000 for their congressional race, TalkingPointsMemo reports. Before last week, Tinklenberg had raised about $1 million, according to federal campaign finance reports. Bachmann had raised about $2.4 million, according to the latest campaign finance filing.

In the MSNBC interview, Bachmann also called on the media to do a “penetrating” investigation into whether members of Congress had held “anti-American” views. See the interview below.
