Democratic strategist James Carville dismissed the notion that “Joe the Plumber” will help Republicans much in this election.
“The reason Republicans are happy about Joe the Plumber is they’re glad they got somebody hanging around a toilet other than Larry Craig,” Carville said at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast on Friday.
He noted that polling shows that Democrats this year are winning on other issues, including economy and taxes.
