McCain Wins N.D., Kan., Wyoming; Obama Wins N.Y., Mich., Minnesota, Wis., R.I.
Polls in a slew of states in the Midwest and West have closed, and both candidates are projected to win several states they were expected to win.
John McCain won Kansas, Wyoming and North Dakota. McCain had led in polling in all three states, but the margin was small in North Dakota.
Barack Obama has won in New York, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Rhode Island, all states that were Democratic in the past two presidential elections.
