Massa Camp Says Kuhl Win Nearly Impossible

The campaign of New York congressional challenger Eric Massa (D) is not yet declaring victory, but did say Thursday that it is almost a statistical impossibility that Rep. Randy Kuhl (R-N.Y.) could make up his 4,000-plus vote deficit with remaining absentee ballots.

Massa has been declared the winner but has not claimed victory himself. He led by 4,433 votes out of more than 250,000 cast.

Legal proceedings are preventing about 11,000 absentee ballots from being counted until Wednesday. But the two campaigns

Kuhl would need to win those remaining absentee ballots overwhelmingly, Schall emphasized.
