Chafee ‘very interested’ in run for R.I. gov.

Here’s yet another sign that former Sen. Lincoln Chafee (I) will run for governor next year. Chafee told a group at the Barrington Congregational Church that he is “very, very interested” in running, according to the ProJo.

Chafee, who was defeated by Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D) in 2006, has indicated before that he is taking a good look at a run for the seat, which will be vacated by Republican Donald Carcieri next year.
