Boehner predicts victory in NY-20

Echoing RNC chair Michael Steele, House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) predicted Wednesday that Republican Jim Tedisco will eventually emerge as the winner of Tuesday’s special election in upstate New York.

After voting Tuesday, Tedisco trails Democrat Scott Murphy by 59 votes. Thousands of absentee ballots remain uncounted, though.

“When all the ballots are counted, I’ll be proud to escort Jim Tedisco down the center aisle of the House to be sworn in as our newest member,” Boehner said, according to CNN.
