Sparks to jump into Ala. governor race
In an expected move, Alabama Agriculture Commissioner Ron Sparks (D) indicated Wednesday that he is ready to jump into the race for governor, setting up a match up against Rep. Artur Davis in the Democratic primary.
Sparks indicated Wednesday afternoon his plans are to run against Congressman Artur Davis for governor. Davis is the only Democrat who has declared a run for the top state seat so far.
