Carville emails Dems: ‘No Newts allowed’

The Democrats dispatched James Carville again for fundraising on Thursday, this time in an email advertising a free trip to meet President Obama at the Democrats’ fundraiser on June 18.

Check out the email below. It is interesting that Carville leads the email by mentioning that former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) headlining the Republican’s big fundraising dinner. That’s another sign that Democrats see an opportunity in Gingrich’s recent ubiquity.

Here’s the email:

Just when I thought I’ve seen everything…

The Republicans have dragged out Newt Gingrich to headline a fundraising dinner.

President Obama and the Democratic Party are leading this country into the future. Let the has beens and never weres in the Republican Party fight among themselves. We want you to join us for a different kind of dinner. No Newts allowed.
