AUC: GOP is ‘Party of No’

Ah, Monday. The start of a new week – a clean slate. Maybe this week will be entirely different from last week. Then again, maybe not.

Americans United for Change will continue to hammer Republicans for their support of Rush Limbaugh on Monday when they launch a new television ad on cable. The ad, shown below, paints the GOP as the “party of no” for refusing to support President Obama’s economic stimulus plan and voicing criticism of his budget outline. It will run through the end of the week.

“So who are Republicans saying yes to?” the ad asks. You guessed it: Rush Limbaugh.

This ad is part of AUC and major labor groups’ $5 to $7 million campaign to get Obama’s budget through Congress. It will be interesting to see how this plays out this week, as it appears that Republicans are going to step up their attacks on Obama.

Oh and by the way, we’re still taking suggestions about what to call this Rush Limbaugh strategy. Rushbomania? Rushapalooza? Sir Rush-a-lot? The comment section awaits below.
