Samuel Adams to buy beers for those who get COVID-19 vaccine
Beer brand Samuel Adams is offering fans a free beverage for getting their COVID-19 vaccine as part of a new promotional campaign.
Beginning April 12, the popular Boston-based beer brand will send fans who post a vaccination sticker or bandage $7 through Cash App for a beer at their favorite bar.
Participants must use the hashtag #shotforsam and tag the company on Twitter or Instagram, and Samuel Adams also discouraged fans from sharing vaccination cards or other personal information, among other rules.
The beer brand will send customers $7 through May 15 or until it receives up to 10,000 entries.
Samuel Adams also released a new ad on Wednesday showing “your cousin from Boston” receiving a vaccine and being urged by a medical worker to continue wearing a mask or face covering.
“Cause hey, we all wanna get back together at the bars we love,” the company tweeted.
Even Your Cousin From Boston got vaccinated! Cause hey, we all wanna get back together at the bars we love.
Starting April 12th, post your vaccine sticker or bandage w/ #ShotForSam & get $7 for a beer on us at your favorite local bar or restaurant. https://t.co/zIKLgGA0Dh

Sam Adams isn’t the only brand to offer a promotion for customers who get vaccinated. Krispy Kreme announced last month that it is offering a free doughnut every day of 2021 to Americans who can prove that they have received a shot.
The famed doughnut company is also delivering free treats to vaccination sites across the country, in addition to offering up to four hours of paid time off for its employees to get vaccinated.
