Police in New Hampshire are investigating a series of threatening letters sent to supporters of President Trump.

The letters were reportedly received by residents of Milford, N.H., and Brookline, N.H., and included threats to burn down the recipients’ homes, New Hampshire station WMUR9 reported

One of the recipients, identified as Kelly, shared her letter with the news outlet.

“Dear neighbor,” the letter read. “You have been identified by our group as being a Trump supporter. Your address has been added to our database as a target when we attack should Trump not concede the election.”

It continued by suggesting the homeowners check their home insurance to ensure it covers fire damage.

“I was very taken aback. This is my home,” Kelly told WMUR9. “You’re not supposed to threaten my home. I’m very worried in the sense that this is going on in my town.”

Milford police told the news outlet that the same letter was sent to other homes with signs backing Trump’s campaign. Capt. Craig Frye of the department told Fox News that officers referred the case to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the state attorney general’s office, which is investigating the letters.

The Brookline Police Department received reports that two residents received the letter, and Brookline police Chief Bill Quigley said in a statement to The Hill that the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the FBI are involved in the investigation.

“It’s on a felony level, because of the threat of burning homes down and causing injury, but it could also be with the postal inspectors, something on the federal level,” Quigley told WMUR9.

Reports of the letters follow similar reports that voters in several states said they received threatening emails warning them to vote for Trump in the upcoming election.
