Miami police on Saturday reportedly broke up crowds gathering near a David Guetta concert that was being livestreamed to raise money for four organizations in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Officers arrived and ordered the crowds that had gathered to hear the concert from the DJ and producer to disperse, The Miami Herald reported, citing a video that had been sent to the newspaper.
More than 200 people crowded on the street to hear the concert, the Herald reported, but Miami police told the newspaper that crowds of that number weren’t assembling in one place.
Police told the newspaper no arrests were made.
Florida has prohibited gatherings of more than 10 people as part of its coronavirus mitigation measures.
Guetta said the “United at Home” relief concert raised more than $700,000. The funding will go toward four organizations including Feeding South Florida
Florida has reported 26,660 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 789 deaths, according to state data.
