Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee, has often criticized President Trump, particularly after revelations that the president pushed Ukraine’s leader to investigate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son.
Romney called a transcript released by the White House of the president’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “deeply troubling.”{mosads}
The revelation that Trump pushed for the probe into the Bidens is at the center of a House impeachment inquiry.
The president has denied wrongdoing and has publicly asked Ukraine and China to investigate the former vice president. Romney also called this move “wrong and appalling.”
Trump in a tweet last month called Romney “pompous.”
I’m hearing that the Great People of Utah are considering their vote for their Pompous Senator, Mitt Romney, to be a big mistake. I agree! He is a fool who is playing right into the hands of the Do Nothing Democrats! #IMPEACHMITTROMNEY
