Trump 2020 campaign ad met with boos from fans at Nationals Park

An advertisement from President Trump’s reelection campaign that ran during television coverage of the World Series finale Wednesday night was met with boos from fans at a watch party held at Nationals Park.

Footage from the evening shows fans booing the advertisement as it aired on a scoreboard in the stadium during the watch party as the final game between the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros took place in Houston.

The advertisement, which Trump shared on his Twitter page after it premiered Wednesday, boasts of job growth under the Trump administration and also touts his immigration policies.

“President Trump is changing Washington,” the narrator says in the 30-second clip, “creating 6 million new jobs, 500,000 new manufacturing jobs, cutting illegal immigration in half, obliterating ISIS.”

{mosads}“But the Democrats would rather focus on impeachment and phony investigations, ignoring the real issues,” the narrator continues as the campaign video begins to show clips of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.).

“But that’s not stopping Donald Trump. He’s no Mr. Nice Guy, but sometimes it takes a Donald Trump to change Washington,” the narrator concludes.

The ad aired a day before the House Democrats were slated to vote on a resolution outlining impeachment procedures as they ramp up their impeachment inquiry into Trump over his dealings with Ukraine.

Trump was also met with boos and “lock him up” chants from fans during his appearance at Nationals Park for Game 5 of the World Series on Sunday.
