A man at the Miami International Airport was detained early Monday morning after trying to force his way onto an American Airlines plane.

The ticketed passenger ran onto the jet bridge and bypassed the gate agent during the boarding process for Flight 1060 from Miami, the airline confirmed to The Hill.

Ari Teman, another passenger on the plane, tweeted a video of the man being taken into custody after he was removed from the plane.

“This guy ran on the flight and he started shouting that it was his plane and that he was from the FBI,” Teman told CBS Miami. “And everyone started standing up to watch and they were blocking the aisle and then they called for security and he was dragged off the plane.”

After the arrest, all of the passengers were taken off the plane and authorities swept the aircraft before allowing passengers to board again. The incident delayed the flight to Newark, N.J., by more than three hours.

The man was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for medical evaluation, CBS News reported. He was detained under the Baker Act, which allows for someone to be involuntarily held for up to 72 hours at a mental health facility.
