Spicer makes debut on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ to Spice Girls song
Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer made his debut on “Dancing With the Stars” on Monday night, performing a salsa dance to a Spice Girls song.
Spicer, who served for six months under President Trump, donned a neon green ruffled shirt and a pair of tight white pants as he danced to the Spice Girls’ “Spice Up Your Life” with champion dancer Lindsay Arnold during the show’s 28th season premiere.
The duo earned a 12 out of 30 from the judges for their routine. Arnold, 25, has described Spicer as being at a “pre-pre-school level,” adding that he “definitely isn’t natural at it.”{mosads}
“It’s like you were being attacked by a swarm of wasps,” one judge said in critiquing Spicer’s performance.
The former Trump administration official’s performance quickly garnered attention on social media, and Spicer was trending on Twitter Monday night following his routine.

Several high-profile figures and politicians, including former Republican Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, tweeted about Spicer’s debut, with Huckabee calling him a “good guy and brave sport” and encouraging people to vote for him.

A group of CNN reporters roasted Spicer on Monday night, with political analyst Angela Rye saying he “looks like a fluorescent green helium balloon.”
Spicer, who will reportedly earn at least $125,000 for being on the show, told The New Yorker earlier this week that joining the show “wasn’t part of the plan” but that he was “just making money, trying to enjoy life.”
