Ohio middle school students accused of serving bodily fluid to teachers

Middle school students in Ohio are under investigation for allegedly putting bodily fluids into food that was then served to teachers.

The incident allegedly happened in the “global gourmet” class at Hyatts Middle School in Powell, WBNS 10 TV reported Monday.

{mosads}The students have been accused of contaminating crepes with urine and or semen during a cooking competition before serving teachers, who were acting as judges.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office said a video began circulating last week appearing to show some students carrying out the act.

Law enforcement is actively investigating the incident but no charges had been filed as of Monday, the outlet reported.

Students could be charged with felony assault if crimes were committed against a teacher at school, according to WBNS 10 TV.

Lab tests are underway to determine if bodily fluids were, in fact, involved.

“The safety and security of our students and staff is of utmost importance,” Olentangy Schools said in a statement. “District leadership and local law enforcement are conducting a thorough investigation into this incident, and anyone found in violation of school policies will be held accountable for their actions.”

Brad Koffel, an attorney representing one of the suspects urged caution “before reaching any conclusions.”

Koffel said it is unclear if urine or semen were ever placed in the teachers’ food, saying that the incident “easily could have been a prank that may have been mocked up for the purposes of creating a video.”
