An F-16 military jet that was headed to the March Air Reserve Base in California crashed into a building on Thursday afternoon.
The condition of the pilot, who was ejected before the crash, was not known, base officials told the Los Angeles Times.{mosads}
The crash caused a structural fire in the building, but it “wasn’t very big,” March Air Reserve Base Deputy Fire Chief Timothy Holliday told The Times.
It is unclear what the jet was doing before the crash or whether it contained dangerous materials. Images and videos of the scene showed a hole in the building where the jet appears to have crashed.
