Two more ‘Proud Boys’ members arrested for alleged roles in street brawl

Two more members of the far-right “Proud Boys” group were arrested on Thursday over their suspected roles in a street brawl last month in Manhattan. 

Authorities in New York confirmed to The Daily Beast that Jake Freijo and David Kuriakose were detained.

The two are facing riot and assault charges stemming from a fight that erupted at the Metropolitan Republican Club on the Upper East Side in mid-October. 

Video footage from the New York Police Department shows several members of the group fighting with anti-fascist demonstrators, who had come to the club to protest a speech from “Proud Boys” founder Gavin McInnes. 

{mosads} Police arrested three men that were protesting McInnes’s speech on the night of the incident, but did not detain any members of the Proud Boys. 

Six other members of “Proud Boys” have been arrested since the incident occurred, according to The New York Daily News. 

McInnes has denied that the “Proud Boys” is a white nationalist or alt-right organization.
