Hillary Clinton urges followers to support organizations reuniting children separated from families at border

Former Secretary of State and 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton asked followers to donate to organizations working to reunite children separated from their families at the border.

“Consider giving to support organizations that have spent the last few months working tirelessly to reunite families the administration has separated at the border,” Clinton wrote on Twitter Tuesday.

“Over 200 children are still waiting to be reunited with loved ones,” she added.

The message from Clinton comes on “Giving Tuesday,” a viral movement created to make a day of charitable giving at the start of the holiday season following the Thanksgiving weekend.

Clinton has been a consistent and vocal critic of President Trump’s family separation policy, often taking to Twitter to provide words of encouragement to those struggling or to highlight injustices occurring.

She followed up her tweet with a thread containing organizations that work to get children back with their families.

“Many of this summer’s family separation stories have ended happily thanks to an outpouring of support,” she wrote.
