Stormy Daniels’s attorney, Michael Avenatti, met with one of the student survivors of the mass shooting in Parkland, Fla., earlier this week.

Cameron Kasky, one of the many students to publicly advocate for gun control policies since the February shooting that left 17 dead, tweeted on Tuesday that he’d met with Avenatti and that “big things” were in the works.
“Good to meet you,” Avenatti tweeted while quoting one from Kasky. “And I look forward to us working together.”
Their meeting comes as Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students continue their drive for gun control and getting young people to vote. It was reported last week that survivors of the mass shooting are planning a get-out-the-vote campaign ahead of the midterm elections.
The news comes a couple months after the shooting survivors announced they would be going on a national bus tour this summer to register young people to vote and highlight recipients of National Rifle Association campaign donations.
Their meeting came the same day Avenatti’s client, Daniels, claimed she was “vindicated” by a guilty plea by President Trump’s former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen. Cohen said that he paid the adult-film star at the direction of a “candidate for federal office.”
“I think a lot of this stems from her courage and what she was willing to come forward and do,” Avenatti said of Daniels on MSNBC Tuesday.
Many have speculated that Avenatti is considering a run for the presidency based on the many public appearances he makes. He has said he could run in 2020.
