President Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was vandalized Wednesday morning by a man using a pickaxe.
Photos of the damage were posted on social media by reporters. Police said witnesses described seeing a man using a pickaxe that he had carried in a guitar case to destroy the star, according to NBC Los Angeles.

The incident isn’t the first time the star has been vandalized. The star was marked with spray paint in 2016.
Later that year, a month before the election, a man used a pickaxe and sledgehammer to smash the star. The man responsible for the damage pleaded no contest to felony vandalism in February 2017.
Trump received the star in 2007 for his role on NBC’s “The Apprentice.”
