Stormy Daniels to donate tips for other dancers’ legal fees after charges against her dropped

Stormy Daniels plans to use her tips from a Thursday night performance at a Columbus, Ohio, strip club to help pay the legal fees of two people who were arrested alongside the adult-film star the night before.

Daniels was charged with three counts of illegal sexually-oriented activity, a misdemeanor, after she allegedly engaged in physical contact with undercover officers at Sirens Gentlemen’s Club in Columbus late Wednesday.

Her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, said Thursday that those charges had been dropped. But two other workers at the club who were arrested with Daniels on Wednesday are still facing charges, Daniels said on Twitter.

The actress wrote that she intended to donate tips from a planned performance at Sirens on Thursday to the other dancers’ legal defense.

“Saddened to hear the other 2 dancers arrested with me last night did not have their charges dropped,” she tweeted. “All tips from my stage performance tonight at Sirens in Columbus will go towards their legal fees. Come support the working women of this city.”

Shortly after Daniels’s tweet, Avenatti tweeted Thursday that there had been a “change of plans.” Avenatti wrote that Daniels would no longer be performing at Sirens on Thursday, “but is looking for another club in the area.”

Daniels has been performing at strip clubs across the country. But a 2007 Ohio law states that an employee at a sexually-oriented business is not allowed to touch anyone not related to them while nude or seminude.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, has gained notoriety in recent months after it was reported in January that President Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen arranged a $130,000 payment to the adult-film star, which she says was to keep her from speaking publicly about an affair she allegedly had with Trump years ago.

She is locked in a legal battle with Cohen and Trump to void the nondisclosure agreement formally barring her from speaking about the alleged affair.
