President Trump touted his former White House press secretary Sean Spicer’s upcoming book on his Twitter account Saturday, urging supporters to buy the book, which he called full of “heart and knowledge.”
“A friend of mine and a man who has truly seen politics and life as few others ever will, Sean Spicer, has written a great new book, ‘The Briefing: Politics, the Press and the President.’ It is a story told with both heart and knowledge. Really good, go get it!” Trump urged on Twitter.
Spicer thanked the president for his tweet:
Spicer’s book, “The Briefing: Politics, The Press, and The President,” is not expected to be a tell-all about his six months serving in the Trump administration. The former aide has remained largely supportive of the president since leaving the White House last year.

The book, which is due to be released July 24, is billed as a “behind the scenes [look at] his turbulent tenure as President Trump’s press secretary, shedding new light on the headline-grabbing controversies of the Trump administration’s first year.”
The former Trump aide is also reportedly shopping a talk show, dubbed “Sean Spicer’s Common Ground,” to television networks ahead of the filming of the show’s pilot episode later this year.
The pilot’s pitch sheet, obtained by The New York Times, says Spicer would host “some of the most interesting and thoughtful public figures for a drink and some lite conversation at a local pub or cafe.” No networks have picked up the show as of yet.
“In this current environment, I think it’s important to have a platform where we can have civil, respectful, and informative discussions on the issues of the day,” Spicer told the Times earlier this week.
