Trump on sketch released by Stormy Daniels: ‘A total con job’
President Trump on Wednesday cast doubt on claims from adult-film star Stormy Daniels and her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, calling a rough sketch of the man Daniels said threatened her to drop her claims against Trump a “total con job.”
{mosads}In a tweet posted just after 6 a.m., the president accused Daniels and Avenatti of “playing the Fake News Media for Fools” after the two appeared on ABC’s “The View” on Tuesday to release the sketch of a man Daniels says threatened her unless she dropped claims that she had an affair with Trump in 2006.
“A sketch years later about a nonexistent man. A total con job, playing the Fake News Media for Fools (but they know it)!” Trump wrote.

Daniels originally said during a “60 Minutes” interview that she was threatened in 2011 in a parking lot by a man.
“Leave Trump alone,” he warned, according to Daniels.
“Forget the story.”
The alleged incident occurred after she agreed to an interview with a sister publication of In Touch magazine.
“And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, ‘That’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom.’ And then he was gone,” Daniels continued on “60 Minutes.”
She says she did not see the man again, but would recognize him.
Last month, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters she had “no knowledge” of the alleged incident.
“Obviously we take the safety and security of any person seriously, certainly would condemn anyone threatening any individual,” Sanders said during a White House briefing.
Daniels is currently waging a legal battle against Trump and his lawyer, Michael Cohen, who she says defamed her by denying her alleged 2006 affair with Trump.
