McKay to lead RNC
After a turbulent month, the Republican National Committee will announce that Ken McKay will come on as executive director chief of staff today, according to a source familiar with the situation.
McKay managed Republican Rhode Island Gov. Don Carcieri’s 2002 campaign and then went on to be his chief of staff. He was also at the helm of Carcieri’s successful 2006 re-election bid.
The Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza was the first to report this news Thursday morning.
