Kathleen Turner robocalls for Johnsen

Actress Kathleen Turner has recorded a robo-call supporting the nomination of Dawn Johnsen to head the Office of Legal Counsel.

Set to launch today, the call is sponsored by People of the American Way and will go out to residents of nine states–Alaska, Arizona, Maine, Missouri, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Utah. All of those states are home to Senators who are wavering on Johnsen’s nomination.

Many conservative oppose Johnsen’s nomination based on her views on legal rights for suspected terrorists and past writings on abortion. (See McCarthy and National Review and Paul Mirengoff at Power Line.)
