No Need to Google Google

There was no need to google people at the Google LCCR inauguration party at Mellon Auditorium Tuesday night. The famous faces were instantly recognizable.

Sens. John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) hung out in the VIP area with Google founder Larry Page and actors Ben Affleck, Glenn Close, John Cusack, and Jessica Alba.

Kerry and Affleck were in particularly deep conversation. Affleck, a Boston native, campaigned vigorously for Kerry in the 2004 presidential race.

Onlookers surrounded the VIP section, which was closed off by filmy, white drapes like something out of the Tales of the Arabian Nights. It did not do much to disguise the famous faces and the cameras and cell phones flashed away.

Kerry’s personal aide kept the non-famous out but paused from his duties long enough to get a picture with actor Tate Donovan of the “The O.C.” fame.

Earlier in the evening, Close was in one of the back rooms that had several Wiis, where she played Backgammon.
