Singer Ariana Grande is visiting fans injured in last month’s deadly terrorist attack at her concert in Manchester ahead of a benefit concert for the victims.
Grande posted a photo to her Instagram on Friday of her sitting at the bedside of a young fan who hospitalized after the attack. The pop star returned to the United Kingdom on Friday, two days before she is set to perform a concert there.
Grande was visiting Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, where she posed for photos with other fans, according to The Associated Press.
Grande was performing at the Manchester Arena late last month when a bomb detonated near one of the venue’s exits, killing 22 victims and injuring more than 100. The attacker was identified as 22-year-old Salman Abedi, who also died in the attack.
“I’ll be returning to the incredibly brave city of Manchester to spend time with my fans and to have a benefit concert in honor of and to raise money for the victims and their families,” Grande said in a statement shortly after the attack.
