Lou Dobbs: Trump ‘pretty close to perfect’

Fox Business host Lou Dobbs is giving glowing reviews to President Trump’s first 100 days in office, calling the 45th president “pretty close to perfect.”

On Thursday’s “Hannity” on Fox News, Dobbs and host Sean Hannity sought to characterize the president’s first months in office as an unprecedented period of progress. House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), Dobbs said, had become a “disaster” and a hindrance to Trump’s presidency.

{mosads}Hannity, one of Trump’s biggest media boosters, said that, while the president isn’t perfect — “nobody’s perfect” — he’s done a “really good job.”

“Well, he’s pretty close to perfect, Sean,” Dobbs responded. “He’s worked his tail off. Still is. Meanwhile, taking care of national defense, national security and all the challenges that aren’t on the Trump agenda. I mean, it’s truly remarkable what he’s doing and the credit he’s not receiving for what he’s done.”

In his first 100 days in office, Trump has issued more executive orders than any other recent president, many of which are aimed at repealing Obama-era regulations. But he has also suffered from historically low approval ratings, which currently sit at about 40 percent, according to Gallup

Hannity backed Trump during his election campaign last year and has given him mostly positive coverage throughout his presidency.
