Republican strategist Mary Matalin is joining CNN’s political team.
The cable news network announced Thursday that Matalin will appear on “Anderson Cooper 360,” “State of the Union with John King” and the “Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.”
Matalin has previously worked as an assistant to President George W. Bush and counselor to Vice President Dick Cheney. She was also a top strategist on George H.W. Bush’s successful 1998 presidential campaign.
For Matalin, joining CNN’s team is all in the family. Her husband, Democratic strategist James Carville, is also a analyst for the network.
