Newt Gingrich fired back at Megyn Kelly on Wednesday after the Fox News anchor suggested the former Speaker work on his “anger issues” in a heated interview.
“For the record, @megynkelly was wrong, i don’t have anger management issues,” Gingrich (R-Ga.) tweeted Wednesday, adding, “I do have media bias issues!”
{mosads}Kelly asked Gingrich, a high-profile supporter of Donald Trump, on Tuesday night about the women who have accused the GOP presidential nominee of sexual assault.
Gingrich argued in the interview that the media has focused too much on the Trump scandal and largely ignored WikiLeaks’ release of emails stolen from the campaign manager for Democrat Hillary Clinton.
“You are fascinated with sex and you don’t care about public policy,” Gingrich told Kelly.
“Me, really?” Kelly responded.
“That’s what I get out of watching you tonight,” Gingrich added.
“I am not fascinated by sex,” Kelly retorted, “but I am fascinated by the protection of women and understanding what we’re getting in the Oval Office.”
Kelly wrapped up the segment by telling Gingrich he “could take his anger issues and spend some time working on them.”
“And you, too,” Gingrich responded.
