Another Bush family member not voting for Trump

The cousin of former President George W. Bush says he has no plans to vote for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, opting instead for the Libertarian ticket headed by Gary Johnson.

During an appearance on CNBC Friday morning, Jonathan S. Bush, who is the CEO of a Massachusetts-based healthcare tech company, revealed his choice with a crude joke.

{mosads}”If you can’t stand the nut on the left and you can’t stand the nut on the right, go for the Johnson,” said Bush, to laughter from his interviewers.

Bush is the brother of Billy Bush, the former “Today” host who was forced to leave his job over his role in the 2005 tape in which Trump makes obscene remarks about women and his treatment of them.

“I grew up believing deeply in my uncle George [H.W. Bush’s] Republican party, really feeling like it was good for people,” Bush said, “and when I listen to [Libertarian vice presidential nominee] Bill Weld talk, I feel the same way.”

Politico reported last month that George H.W. Bush himself had privately expressed plans to vote for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in November.

His granddaughter, Lauren, recently announced to the world her intention to do the same.
