RNC official: ‘I don’t know’ if grabbing someone’s genitals is sexual assault

A spokesman for the Republican National Committee said he is not sure if grabbing someone’s genitals is sexual assault.

“I don’t know,” Sean Spicer said after Sunday’s debate, according to The Weekly Standard. “I’m not a lawyer.”

{mosads}Spicer was responding to a question about Donald Trump’s 2005 comments about women in a recording that was leaked The Washington Post on Friday.

In the tape, Trump was caught on a hot mic talking about unsuccessfully trying to seduce a married woman.

“You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything,” he said in the recording.

“Grab them by the p—y.”

The comments created a firestorm, leading numerous Republicans to pull their support for Trump.
