Report: Pence was ‘beside himself’ over Trump’s 2005 remarks

Mike Pence and his wife were reportedly floored on Friday when they heard about the lewd remarks about women Donald Trump made in 2005 in a leaked recording.

{mosads}Trump’s running mate said he was “beside himself” and his wife Karen was “furious” when he found out about audio tape, a source told the Associated Press

The Indiana governor didn’t directly answer questions shouted by reporters during a campaign stop on in Ohio after the news broke, the AP reported.

Trump released a statement apologizing “if anyone was offended” by the vulgar comments about women he made in the recording, which was obtained by The Washington Post and NBC News.

But that didn’t stop a flood of harsh criticism from his own party including some lawmakers such as Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) who said Trump should drop out of the race and Republicans should move forward with emergency procedures to find a new nominee.
