Republican strategist Ana Navarro delivered a passionate rebuke of Donald Trump during an appearance on CNN Friday night.
Reacting to sexually aggressive comments about women the GOP nominee made in a leaked tape from 2005, Navarro said it was high time for the Republican party to call him out.
{mosads}”How many times does he get away with saying something misogynistic before we call him a misogynist?” she asked. “How many times does he get away with saying something sexist before we acknowledge that he is a sexist? It is time to condemn the man.”
The former Jeb Bush supporter and John McCain adviser called Trump a “pig” and said his comments were “vile.”
“He not fit to be the president,” she continued, “he is not fit to be the Republican nominee, he is not fit to be called a man.”
Navarro joins several top Republicans who have strongly condemned the latest revelation concerning Trump’s treatment of women.
RNC chairman Reince Priebus released a statement saying “no woman should ever be described in these terms or talked about in this manner. Ever.”
Speaker Paul Ryan followed Priebus by saying he was “sickened” by the remarks, and announcing that Trump would no longer be participating in their planned joint campaign event in Wisconsin.
