Pataki on 9/11 anniversary: NY still a target

Former New York Gov. George Pataki (R) on Sunday said he think his state is still a target for terrorists, but he vowed not to live in fear.

{mosads}In a radio interview with John Catsimatidis, Pataki spoke about his experience serving as governor on 9/11 and said that the attacks have not shaken Americans’ resolve.

“New York is still a target,” he said, adding that he would have “no qualms” about his family working in the Freedom Tower.

“We’re Americans, and because of our freedom we’re always going to be subject to attacks from Islamic radicals or others who just detest the freedom that we are so proud of. But you can’t live in fear,” the former governor and presidential candidate said.

“The challenge we face from terrorism today is not going to slow us down one bit,” he said.
