Bill Clinton rape accuser: Trump didn’t contact me before releasing ad

Juanita Broaddrick says she was caught off-guard when Donald Trump released a campaign ad in March featuring her allegations against Bill Clinton.

“I didn’t know my voice was going to be in that campaign thing that he put out,” Broaddrick told Business Insider for an article published on Thursday afternoon. 

{mosads}“I wasn’t even aware of it. I was so surprised,” said the Arkansas woman who accused Clinton in 1999 of raping her in a hotel room in 1978, while he served as the state’s attorney general.

“It was a little painful at first,” to hear the campaign ad,  she told the outlet.

“To take the most horrible part of my interview and the most horrible part of it and put it in a campaign slogan, or whatever it was, it was difficult, but I’m OK with it now,” she said.

Trump released a video in late March on Instagram that featured audio of Broaddrick’s 1999 appearance on “Dateline” in which she accused Clinton of raping her. Clinton long ago denied the allegations.

Trump released the ad, which also featured audio of Bill Clinton accuser Kathleen Willey, to attack Democratic rival Hillary Clinton. 

Broaddrick told Business Insider that she’s “never had any contact” with Trump’s campaign, but said she plans to vote for Trump.

Last month, Broadderick said she wasn’t unhappy to be in the ad.

“I was surprised but I have to say, I’m not unhappy about it,” she said in a radio interviewwith Boston-based WRKO. She also said she would be supporting Trump because he is not Hillary Clinton.
