A Libertarian Party vice presidential candidate is comparing Donald Trump’s plans to deport millions of illegal immigrants to Nazi Germany.

“I can hear the glass crunching on Kristallnacht in the ghettos of Warsaw and Vienna when I hear that, honest,” former Massachusetts Gov. William Weld said Thursday, according to The New York Times.

{mosads}Throughout his campaign, Trump has called to for the deportation of the millions of immigrants in the country illegally.

Weld compared the presumptive GOP presidential nominee’s deportation plans to Kristallnacht — when Nazis in 1938 marched through towns in Germany and Austria destroying Jewish businesses, synagogues and homes.

“My Kristallnacht analogy does evoke the Nazi period in Germany,” Weld said, when asked if he thought Trump was a fascist.

“And that’s what I’m worried about. A slippery slope.”

Weld later clarified his comments, saying he wouldn’t call Trump a Nazi or a fascist.

“I’m just saying, we got to watch it when we get exclusionary about people on account of their status as a member of a group,” he said.

Weld, who accepted an invitation to be on the ticket with former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson, said he doesn’t consider himself a member of the Never Trump movement.

“I’m not horrified about everything Mr. Trump has done at all,” he said.

“I think he’s done a lot. But when I think about some of the positions, I think they’re way out there.”
