Trump mocks Fiorina for fall, dings Cruz
Donald Trump on Monday mocked Republican presidential rival Ted Cruz’s potential running mate, Carly Fiorina, for stumbling on a campaign stage.
“By the way, she fell off the stage the other day. Did anybody see that?” Trump said during a rally in Carmel, Ind., on the eve of the state’s primary.
{mosads}”And Cruz didn’t do anything,” Trump continued. “Even I would have helped.”
“She went down right in front of him and he was talking and he kept talking. He didn’t even look like … that was a weird deal,” the businessman added to laughs.
Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, was caught stumbling after introducing the Cruz family at a campaign rally on Sunday in Lafayette, Ind.
Cruz was seen on video continuing to shake hands of supporters as his wife, Heidi, reached out toward Fiorina, who had steadied herself.
“She went down, she went down a long way,” Trump said Monday.
