Breitbart reporter to Trump: Imagine if I were your daughter

Michelle Fields said in an interview that aired Thursday evening that she would ask GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump to imagine how she might be treated if she were his daughter.

The Breitbart reporter is pushing back on the tactics of the businessman’s campaign after Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski reportedly grabbed her arm at a press conference earlier this week.

{mosads}”I would just ask him to just put himself in my shoes and imagine if I was his daughter,” Fields said during her interview with ABC’s Tom Llamas for an interview on “World News Tonight.”

Trump’s campaign earlier Thursday denied that there was a physical altercation between Trump’s campaign manager and the reporter, who said she was attempting to ask the billionaire a question about affirmative action when she was nearly pulled down in the “jarring” incident.

Washington Post reporter Ben Terris wrote that he witnessed the incident, saying Lewandowski grabbed Field’s arm and “yanked” her away from Trump. Terris and Fields are heard in audio discussing the incident.

“Obviously, no one wants to be touched and violated like that,” Fields told ABC of the incident at Trump’s press conference on Tuesday, showing bruising on one of her arms to the network.

Lewandowski fired off a pair of tweets earlier Thursday afternoon attempting to discredit the reporter, calling her an “attention seeker.”

Larry Solov, the president and CEO of the conservative publication, issued a statement Thursday afternoon calling on Trump’s campaign to apologize to Fields.

“We are disappointed in the campaign’s response, in particular their effort to demean Michelle’s previous reporting,” he said in the statement, calling Fields an “intrepid reporter who has covered tough and dangerous stories.”

“We stand behind her reporting, her techniques, and call again on Corey Lewandowski to apologize.”
