Sanders huddles with Sharpton after NH win

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is huddling with Al Sharpton as he looks to make inroads with African-American voters ahead of the South Carolina primary.

{mosads}Sanders, fresh off a huge win over Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire on Tuesday, is focusing on the Palmetto State, where Clinton has consistently polled stronger among black voters.

The two leaders met at Sylvia’s, a famed soul food restaurant, in New York City’s Harlem on Wednesday morning.

Sharpton embraced Sanders outside the breakfast spot Wednesday before heading inside. They were joined by former NAACP president Ben Jealous, who endorsed Sanders last week, and posted a photo of the pair.

Sanders is meeting Sharpton in the same Harlem restaurant where the activist met with then- Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill) during his 2008 presidential campaign.

Sharpton will also sit down with Clinton on Wednesday to pre-tape an interview for MSNBC, according to the Daily Beast.
