North Korea moves up rocket launch window: report
North Korea has moved up its window for a rocket launch by a day, the South Korean Defense Ministry said Saturday, according to CNN.
It was reported earlier in the week that the rogue nation was planning to launch a satellite between Feb. 8-25. The updated window is Feb. 7-14.
{mosads}Despite North Korea’s claims that it is launching a satellite, many are worried that the country is actually planning a ballistic missile test.
North Korea launched a satellite into orbit in 2012, which many nations called a violation of U.N. Security Council sanctions barring ballistic missile tests.
The new development comes exactly a month after the regime claimed to have tested their first hydrogen bomb, which may prompt further sanctions.
