Donald Trump on Thursday blasted the White House for making light of his gingery blonde locks after President Obama’s top spokesman mocked his “fake hair.”
“Isn’t that disgusting for a presidential representative to make that comment?” the Republican presidential candidate said on “Fox and Friends.”
{mosads}“I assume he was joking, but for a presidential person representing us in such tough times — we have terrorism and all of the problems — for him to make that comment I thought it was so ridiculous.”
White House press secretary Josh Earnest went after Trump’s hair on Tuesday amid an extended diatribe against the real estate tycoon for his proposal to ban Muslims from entering the U.S.
“The Trump campaign for months now has had a dustbin-of-history-like quality to it, from the vacuous sloganeering to the outright lies to even the fake hair,” Earnest told reporters.
Trump noted on Fox that he is often “kidded” about his hair and that “it’s fine, it doesn’t matter” before accusing Earnest of lying, saying, “He lied, just like Obama lied about ObamaCare.”
