Fiorina: Obama has ‘harmed every group’ he tries helping

GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina said Wednesday that President Obama’s White House has hurt every demographic it tries aiding.

“The progressive policies of this administration have made income inequality worse, not better,” she said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

{mosads}“The policies of this administration have harmed every group they claim to help,” Fiorina continued. “[It is] women, African-Americans, people who are grinding it out in the lower middle class.

“I think liberal policies have failed,” the former Hewlett-Packard CEO added.

“But frankly, under Republican politicians, we haven’t made it much better because government continues to get bigger, both Republicans and Democrats.”

Fiorina then argued that Obama has “demonstrably failed” at working across party lines with Republican lawmakers.

She added that she would take a more inclusive approach upon potentially taking the White House next year.

“I’ll work hard to build across the aisle as well as within my own party,” Fiorina said. “What the American people are right now is outraged, and it’s not partisan.

“In my events, [I’ve] had lots of Democrats that show up and lots of independents as well,” she said.

“The fundamentals we’re talking about now — taking our government back, getting it back under control, having it do well, [having] it do the things it’s supposed to do and get out of the things it’s not supposed to do, that’s actually not a partisan issue,” the former technology executive added.

“People know things aren’t working anymore. Nothing’s getting done [and] partisanship is part of it.”

Fiorina’s remarks come amid surging support for outsider candidates during the GOP’s 2016 presidential primary.

She ranks among the top three Republican White House hopefuls alongside business mogul Donald Trump and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson.

Fiorina currently receives 10.4 percent voter support, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of samplings.
