Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) laughed off a heckler during an awkward exchange on Tuesday morning.

The audience member was escorted out of Rubio’s speech in Florida after accusing the 2016 GOP presidential candidate of adultery.

{mosads}“How do you plan to deal with wire fraud?” the man asked Rubio in New York City’s Civic Hall, according to a video of the incident. “How do you plan to deal with accountability?

“The answer is you can’t,” he continued. “You cheated on your wife in Florida.

“I think you should drop out of the race,” the man added. “Your polling numbers are too low to win.”

The video shows event staff removing the heckler as the moderator repeatedly apologizes for the man’s comments.

“It was actually kind of weird,” Rubio responded, eliciting laughter from the remaining audience members.

Rubio initially addressed tax reforms and government regulation of emerging technologies like Uber during his remarks Tuesday morning.

“The on-demand economy is a miracle that only American free enterprise could produce,” he said. “That’s why it’s so shameful that the biggest obstacle to the growth of this platform is our very own government.

“I will place a cap on the amount regulations can cost our economy each year,” Rubio added. “I will also require federal agencies to include an analysis of exactly how each proposed regulation would impact competition and innovation.”

Marco Rubio’s wife, Jeanette Dousdebes Rubio, is a former Miami Dolphins cheerleader. They have four children together and reside in West Miami.

He ranks fourth out of 15 candidates for the GOP nomination in national polls, with 9.5 percent support according to the latest RealClearPolitics average.
