Harry Potter star loves Trump-Clinton conspiracy theory

Actor Daniel Radcliffe loves the conspiracy theory that Donald Trump is running for the White House to help Hillary Clinton.

The “Harry Potter” star in an interview published Tuesday said he’s not generally into such theories, but that he enjoys the Trump-Clinton one.

{mosads}“I’m not into conspiracy theories, but my favorite recent favorite is that Donald Trump is running a false flag campaign for Hillary Clinton,” Radcliffe told The Big Issue.

“If Trump was secretly working for Clinton to help her win, what would he be doing differently?” he asked.

“He is galvanizing the crazy right-wing loony end of the Republicans, while turning away the moderates,” Radcliffe added.  “And if he doesn’t get the nomination, he will run as an Independent and split the vote.”

“Also, his daughter is best friends with Chelsea Clinton,” he concluded of Hillary Clinton’s daughter and Ivanka Trump. “So much of it makes sense.”

Radcliffe argued on Tuesday that he is not interested in endorsing Trump despite supporting another outsider candidate, Jeremy Corbyn, in the U.K.’s election last weekend.

“No, No!” he exclaimed, laughing at the idea of backing the New York business mogul.

Radcliffe recalled meeting Trump for the first time in 2001 during a promotional tour in the U.S.

“He said a fantastically Donald Trump-ish thing,” Radcliffe said of their meeting on “The Today Show” that year.

“I hadn’t done much live TV before,” he said.  “I told him I was nervous because I didn’t know what to talk about.”

“He just said, in a very charming way — and I mean that — ‘You just tell them that you met Donald Trump,’ ” Radcliffe added. “And I think I probably did.”

Radcliffe’s remarks come as Trump leads the race for next year’s GOP presidential nomination across multiple national polls.

The real estate tycoon currently ranks first out of 16 candidates with 29.8 percent, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of samplings.
