The fiancee of a New York City doctor who has been diagnosed with Ebola will be allowed to return home under quarantine, according to news reports.
Dr. Craig Spencer was diagnosed with Ebola on Thursday, a week after returning from West Africa where he was treating patients who had contracted the deadly virus.
{mosads}As a precaution, health officials quarantined Spencer’s fiancee and two of his friends, whom he had been in close contact with since developing symptoms of Ebola.
But health officials are preparing to release Spencer’s fiancee, Morgan Dixon to the Manhattan apartment they share, where she will continue to be quarantined.
Spencer’s two friends are also being quarantined in their homes.
